Wine-beer hybrid. A blend of wine and brandy barrel aged sour beers, conditioned with whole destemmed hand-crushed Gewurztraminer grapes.
An experiment in changing the definition of what beer can be. This blend consists of beer that was fermented and aged in wine and brandy barrels for an average of 9 months.
100kg of Gewürztraminer grapes were hand-crushed and added post-blending to kick off refermentation in a fruiting barrel. After five months of skin contact, something truly unique has evolved from these components.
Bottle conditioned. The carbonation is high and it has lots of lemon, citrus, funk, and floral notes.
The blender recommends keeping the bottle chilled upright for at least a day before you enjoy it, and to try to pour all in one go, without "glugging", to leave the lees behind.
Please enjoy at cellar temperature in a stemmed glass.
