A smooth, hazy IPA with Superdelic hops.

Malted barley. Stronger, fuller, and with more hop intensity than the pale ale, but aiming to keep all elements in balance.

Tropical & stone fruit on the nose, with a really round and smooth body, tropical juiciness all the way through, clean, bright, a candy fullness, a touch of peach and low bitterness.

Superdelic, then Trial Hop NZH-102, is a triploid variety (cultivar) that was crossed by Dr. Ron Beatson in 2012 through @nzhopsltd partnership breeding program with Plant and Food Research. It later became commercially available in 2023 and soon became a fast favourite amongst breweries in Europe and America.

The Kernel featured Superdelic in their Southern Hemisphere Showcase in 2023 when they focused on New Zealand hops and found it particularly exciting because of its intense and exciting flavour profile. Some classic, tropical and citrus fruit notes are there with layers of more unique flavours like red fruits and sweets on top.
